2001 Twin Islands Pinot Noir. Marlborough, New Zealand. 13.0% alcohol. $14.

Light Beaujolais colored wine with limited aromas of earth and cranberry. Decent high acid styled flavors of cranberry, a touch of oak, and slight plum. Moderate tannins make their presence felt in the short finish. Drink now to 2004. 80 points.

I think Beaujolais is an apt descriptor for this wine. It lacks great structure and length.
