Apologies if this has been posted on already, I couldn't find any thread pertaining to this wine.

Now here is a seriously complex wine. Definitely not your typical New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. This is one of the most interesting wines I have tasted in a long while. It's an oaked SB, in the style of the Cloudy Bay Te Koko (which I personally didn't enjoy), but instead of being a SB with some oak it has been transformed into a totally different beast. The wine was constantly evolving in the glass with a wide range of tropical fruits, some oak, even a touch of honey at times. The flavors totally coating the entire palate and then lingering beautifully for 60+ seconds. This is definitely a wine that I would like to serve blind at a tasting some evening.

I was somewhat perplexed by the wine though. I wasn't expecting a typical NV SB but I was still expecting the wine to be eminently quaffable, which it certainly wasn't. It was probably the best NZ wine that I have ever tasted but, between 2 of us, we were unable to finish the bottle. Instead we drank very slowly savoring every drop.

So,. don't drink this wine if you are expecting an easy going quaffable zingy NZ SB, see Cloudy Bay SB/Kim Crawford SB. But if you get an opportunity, DRINK THIS WINE. I'd definitely recommend drinking this with food though, it's a bit much on its own.

I have no idea how to rate this wine, as I have never really tasted anything like it before, but it is absolutely delicious and comes highly highly recommended.

That's a great write-up dude. I'd love to try this. But I think my chances of finding it are pretty slim. There's always hope though.
