Bought just the one bottle but the source has more. Chilled nicely without going to frozen.

As soon as the bottle was opened the lovely yeasty bread aromas came out, instantly recognisable.

In the glass it was a silvery yellow colour with fine-medium bead. Nose was very strong on the yeast with lime. In the mouth the bubbles were vibrant and a strawberry tang accompanied the lime. Nice long finish. No sign of the apple flavours I picked up last time I tried the 1998 and no hint of being like Champagne.

This suggests that it is at its best and most distinctive when it is young. I will drink up the final 1998 soon and get some more of this. Excellent wine.
