| After having several bottles of this wine, I am convinced it is the best gewurztraminer that I have ever drank. I must admit I have not had many, but this one is really nice. We had it with Hog Island Sweetwater oysters and Pt Reyes Farmstead Blue Cheese. The nose shows ripe pear flavors with a nice light lemon-grass palate. At 14% alcohol, there is no heat. I am betting this is bone dry despite the light touch of sweatness on the finish. A great value at $12.

| Pete, Where did you find this? Wine-searcher (basic) yields no results. | | | |

| Bought a 6 pack of these based on Pete's opinion of this wine and given the price. Bought these in June and had them to hold shipping until last week. WOW! what a bargain! Pete is right in his descriptors, with a nose of pear and maybe a touch of nectar. The palate does have a bit of lemon grass but not overly bitter. This doesn't have the zippiness that one might characterize with some New Zealand wines. Everything is in perfect balance with this wine. 93+ pts. for me. | | | |

| Was a standout wine from our Thanksgiving dinner. Enough acidity to work with all the different foods and not sweet or like most other Reislings we have tried. If you find these, grab them too! JB | | | |

| The buzz in fashion among wine drinkers in NZ is pinot gris. I cant see why, gerwurz here is much better and matches the same food as pinot gris
NZ does several good GW. Dry River would easily be the leading label, a top vintage is just nectar of the gods. It has been exceptionally hard to get in the past but with a change in ownership it seems more accessible these days. Two labels exist in Dry Rivers portfolio, the Estate which techincally is the best I suppose and the Lovat which is a bit sweeter and richer
Other top NZ labels include Johanneshof, Te Whare Ra, Stonecroft and Montana 'P' (Brancott to you guys).
The best labels seem to have a bit of r/s in them, quite a few of the drier marlborough labels can be a bit harsh on the palate. | | | |

| We opened a bottle of this with crab and it continues to show extremely well. I wish I had bought more. | | | I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it. | |

| Glad to hear it's still drinking well. I have four left that I plan on holding for special occasions. You wouldn't think that a $12 bottle of wine would be considered a special occasion wine but I think it's that good. | | | |

| Had my last bottle of these last night with pork tenderloin with an apple pie stuffing. Great food and wine match. This wine lost a little of the fruit it once had but was still and excellent wine. The ripe flavors arn't as prominent as before but it still showed characteristics of citrus and honey. Still in balance with just a little fading. 91 pts. | | | |
