Ordered by the glass. Light color, simple, but pleasant wine. Tart, lemon grass and citrus flavors. Bracing acidity. I liked it. 86 points.

2004 Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc - New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough (5/8/2005) This was OK. It was a decent bottle, but it did not have the raciness I prefer in my NZ SBs. Still a good wine for a nice price ($10-ish). (85 pts.) Posted from CellarTracker!

2004 Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc - New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough (10/1/2005) Had this recently again. I liked it better than last time. The acidity is quite there, but it seemed in better balance with time with plenty of lemon-lime flavors. For the price this is a pretty good SB. (86 pts.) Posted from CellarTracker

have either of you tried their premium effort called the Parentai? Fruit from this one comes from Marlborough rather than Hawks Bay. I have not, but I've heard good things.
