Well, since no one else has done it, I'll ask?

What are you drinking with Thanksgiving dinner this year?

I am going to the in-laws and as usual am expected to bring the wine. (Almost everybody at the dinner wants me to bring red wine) This year I thought I'd take:
2001 Rosenblum Zinfandel San Francisco Bay Carla's Vineyards
1999 Cline Syrah Los Carneros
2001 Gérard Weinzorn Riesling Alsace, and
a dessert wine that I have not yet decided upon.

I've decided not to shlep wine home for Thanksgiving, frankly it's just too much of a pain, and I always have to try and convert the masses that a pinot or zin will go well with turkey. That's a fight I gave up on last year and now I just go with the flow. Instead I'm brining one bottle of 1977 Warre VP. and I will get a selection of cheese when I'm home to go with it.

There will be 8 adults and only 3 care much about wine- my wife, younger son, and me. I want to open American wines, so I'll probably pick a Stag's Leap Sauvignon B;lanc for those who want white. I'll have a Marietta Old Vine Red #32 open and possibly a 2001 De Ponte Pinot Noir (BHVineyrad's wine). For those that want something a little sweet, I bought a nv Montezuma Cranberry Bog from the winery in the Finger Lakes region when I visited the area. It's made 100% from cranberries, simple, and tasty.

Yesterday for Thanksgiving with my bros, my dad and his wife we had--

2001 Henry's Drive Shiraz
2000 Dom. la Soumade Rasteau Cotes du Rhone

For dining out on Thanksgiving where one of the people is a recovering (mostly I think) alcoholic, NADA, NIL, ZILCH.

For Thanksgiving with the Mrs. TJ clan on Saturday, hmmm, must think on that one. heh heh heh

Just winging it. Not really sure which Siduri's or Loring's I plan on bringing yet. Friends I am dining with are interested and have never tried any of these so I figured what the hell.
