What would you pair with smoked chicken wings (same smoker we use for ribs, with either oak or pecan wood chips)?  So far, I'm down to:

2003 Seghesio OV Zin
2006 Mollydooker Two Left Feet (Cab-Merlot-Shiraz)
2000 Bellefont-Belcier (St. Emilion)
2000 Domaine l'Aiguelière Coteaux du Languedoc Montpeyroux Côte Dorée (Syrah blend)
2001 Belle Père et Fils Crozes-Hermitage Cuvée Louis Belle
2005 Marquis Philips Sarah's Blend

Something tells me that a cab or cab-based wine is right for the smoked wings, but I can see an argument for a Shiraz (sweet fruit accenting the smoke).

I read your title as "Smoked Wines" and I would have to say that my curiosity, if not my desire, was well piqued. Personally, I'd serve beer there.

I would go with the Seghesio Zin. As you say sweet fruit and big structure to not get plowed by the wings.

I like zin with this, as well.  Shiraz would probably work, but not sure I'd be a fan of cab.
