It is great stuff. Its a maryland cheesemaker that I didn't know about until they were featured in Saveur magazine. They make a few varieties of goat cheese, including a blue goat cheese, which I have yet to try (because I have not found it in a shop).

That is where I read about them as well so I was interested to know how they lived up to the billing. Good stuff.

Three Sisters Serenita Farmstead cheese

American Cheese Society winner. Aged six months. Made with raw cow's milk. Pungent, a little nutty and tart, loads of salty, sharp goodness. Not an everyday cheese though. Good with '03 Ridge Lytton Springs followed by a nice 72% dark chocolate.

Frankie-
Have you tried the Grana Padano Parmigiano? It's our favorite. Have it with a sparkling wine. Awesome.

This is a list of cheeses we tried back about a year ago at Nectar right before it closed. Just ran across a note I jotted down for myself about these.

Monte Enebro - goat yum
Pierre Robert - triple creme brie hw can you go wrong?
Ossau Iratty - sheep very nice
Bleu D'Terignon - bleu made by 84 year old lady from 9 cows very good
Ami du Chambertain - Epoisses halitosis incarnated

Italian cheeses. Lots of Italian cheeses. At lunch, little wedges of the undisputed King of Cheeses, parmiggiano regiano, seem to always make our plates.
