| I've noticed in the past week that Linens N Things, Bed Bath, and Beyond, and Amazon.com are running special discontinuation sales on Calphalon Commercial non-stick pans. If you think you'll need more non-stick pans in the next couple of years, now may be the time to stock up.
On a non-non-stick side note, has anyone cooked with the new Calphalon One pans? How are they?

| Funny you should ask, I bought Crista a 8 piece set for her birthday two weeks ago(Can't believe I got away with that). We have been cooking on them and they are the best pots and pans I have ever used. The heat is distributed very evenly and you can now use any type of utensil on them. | | | |

| Bed Bath and Beyond just sent out a 20% off coupon so I took advantage. I purchased the 10 piece Calphalon One set (10' and 12" fry pans, 11" chefs skillet, 4.5 qt sauce pan and an 8 qt. stock pot). They were also running a special whereby you got a $50 BBB gift card for every $250 worth of Calphalon purchased. So I got 20% off and $100 in gift cards. Now I just have to figure out what to do with my extra 8 qt. stock pot. | | | |

| Boil Crabs in your new stock pot.
My Calphalon are only about 8 years and one skillet is wearing down( I left it on high heat for about an hour and there was nothing in it, several years ago), but I enjoy them more than the other pans I have use, defintely better than the non stick pans .
I thought you could buy Calphalon at Target and Sears. I noticed that Cooks Catalogue stopped selling them several years ago and I figured Calphalon was targeting mass market instead of cooking specialty stores.

I have two of the 8 qt. stock pots. I'd rather have some of the small sauce pans (1.5 and 2.5 qt.) Anyone want to trade?

| I've found the best deals at Bloomingdales -- they usually have one pot or pan on sale a week -- saute pans or omelette pans for 24.99 or so......... If you don't mind accumulating like this, they are a great deal. | | | |

| I have picked up some fantastic deals on amazon.com, including a 6 qt braising pot for $29.
Funny thing, most of these things are returns or scratch/dents. In fact, my mother-in-law got a stock pot that someone obviously received as a wedding gift and returned. We knew this, because the wedding card was accidentally returned in the box.

| How do you know it was not used?
I got a great deal on a scratch and dent Eurocave. Save a few hundred bucks and you can barely see the scratches -- not an issue, since it is in my basement.
