Receiving the recent Pride offer letter had me check out how much Bob Foley made wine I already have in my cellar.  Probably too much.  But one thing that might help me solve this dilemma is:

What kinds of foods do you find go well with Petite Sirah, Charbono or Cab Franc?

petite sirah - a favorite w/grilled foods - kebabs are great
charbono - hearty foods, meaty sauces, rich bean soups
cab franc - w/veal stew; I like it with stuffed poultry, goes well with the herbs

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is...

.ps - friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon.

A good question. As kpak notes grilled foods with Petite Syrah, certain pizzas with Charbono. I don't think Cab Franc goes with many foods, not one of my fav varietals but that is subjective.
