going out tonight to catch a Red (sockeye) and tomorrow will do a side by side tasting of Kenai and Copper River sockeye salmon.  It's not a completely equal comparison because the Kenai fish will be about 24 hours fresher...

Planning just a simple grilling with oil and pairing with a Loring Pinot...

Best salmon I ever tasted was Yukon River King. But they don't stay in the markets very long and many of the alternatives are pretty dang fine.

I have not!  I'll definitely look it up when we move in July.  I did hit Shiro's again... Love/hate relationship with that place.  I LOVE the sushi there (I always sit at the bar and let him drive), but I HATE the bill.  Just fantastic stuff.

I've got a CWG food porn pic to post of dinner last night.  Need to download from my camera :-D

Quick edit: I've been to Lola and Dahlia Lounge/Bakery.  Love Tom Douglas and will definitely hit it!

Ok, I give up.  What happened to the ability to add pictures?  I'm in the "reply" window and the photo icon is gone.

Shiros.  I LOVE the sushi there (I always sit at the bar and let him drive), but I HATE the bill.  Just fantastic stuff.

Been there and paid the price.  Even lunch there means leaving a few Ben Franklins...
Admittedly extra special though.

There are so many excellent choices in Seattle....

It's nice to have a night at home just relaxing and grilling:

Spinach and bacon dip with paper thin tortilla chips
French Batard bread with bica cheese and blue shorpshire cheese
A very nice piece of copper river sockeye salmon brushed with EVOO, salt, pepper
Grilled asparagus

Slow cooked pork shoulder with a "sounds good" glaze that I tossed some brown sugar, worchestire (sp?), honey, apple juice, and a splash of 20 yr Pappy into.  I've good the food porn pics, inspired by CWG, that I'll post if the pics link works.

Drew,

That sounds great.  I haven't done a shoulder this year yet, it just might be time this weekend.  22 hours or so in the BGE turns out some AMAZING pulled pork.  Still no abiliity to post food porn.....
