grilling some chicken

corn

and Vidalia onions

salad of fresh spinach with wonderful strawberries

Last night - grilled Copper River sockeye (minimal salt, pepper, thyme and olive oil) that was fantastic!
Right now - Black Forest bacon scrambled with garlic, eggs and cheese. Yum!

Halibut cheeks - parmesan crusted.

The biggest 'but cheeks I've ever seen.

Our first trip to Del Frisco's (glad we made it):

Onion rings-giant, crispy, light batter, great onion rings
Dinner salad-the avocado goddess dressing was awesome
Ribeye (cooked medium)-this was the most perfect piece of steak I've had to date...perfectly charred on the outside, pink and juicy and oh-so tender on the inside, polished off the entire thing
Chateau Potatoes-their version of skin-on mashed potatoes, very rich but still good
Potatoes au Gratin-I wasn't impressed with this dish as it was chunks of potatoes instead of thin slices
Spinach Supreme-creamed spinach, it was ok

Overall, the steak was wonderful but their side dishes, surprisingly, were a disappointment. The steak was definately worth the money.

Tease.

I had a 12 oz longhorn ribeye at Meers last night.  Definitely a leaner cut and nothing like one of Brian's steaks.
