| Time to get back to the food porn. Last Saturday, wild caught whole red snapper on the BGE with EVO, fresh herbs and garlic. Grass fed and finished NY Strip Steaks prepped for the grill on last Sunday. I really miss the big pictures! (and ok, these were not technically May, but more pics this weekend.) | | |

| I've been getting Edamame lately and having them steamed and very lightly salted. Makes a great late night snack... extremely healthy. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

Diced red cabbage, cucumbers, jicama, poblano peppers, red bell peppers,

| Grana Padano Cheese - more like Romano I have eaten so much pasta over the past week. Piedmont is the home of the filled pastas. I bought a firm blue cheese and another cheese (Tor?) that I brought home with me from a Piedmont cheese & sausage factory. Yummmaaayyy. | | | |

Grana Padano Cheese - more like Romano
from cheese.com:
Grana Padano is a traditional, co-operative, unpasteurized, hard cheese. The smooth, natural rind is extremely hard and thick. This cheese is known to many of us as simply "Parmesan". The cheese should taste fresh fruity and sweet, with a hint of pineapple. The pale, yellow interior should be hard, grainy and crumbly. Grana Padano freezes very well. It ripens in 12 -48 months.

| Those 4 morels cost you $40.00 didn't they?!?! On Sunday I made a great no cheese quesadilla. Carmelized Vidalia with garlic & chopped jalepeno....(let this cool) Black beans Sauted Shrimp (16-20's) cut in half so they lay flat Cilantro...lots of it. I layers the onions, sprinkled on the beans and then layered the shrimp and cilantro. Toss on the grill for a minute or so each side.....it was really great. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson | |

| Morels are hollow and thin-walled, so they aren't as expensive as the price per pound makes them sound.
