Who's Who Burger in Highland Park Village (we got hungry after shopping at Banana Republic)

My uncle's family showed up at dessert time because their Christmas lunch that was supose to be ready at noon wasn't ready until after 3 p.m. I could have made 1/4 the amount of food

A small ribeye roast (with just sea salt and pepper)
Roasted assorted vegetables (onions, egg plant, carrots, yellow squash, and bell pepper-although the bell pepper turned out soft)

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is...

.ps - friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon.

Tonight, I took my 5 year old for her first successful sushi night at Yutaka Sushi Bistro in Uptown Dallas:

Kaki Age
This was tempura of mixed shredded vegetables, shrimp, and scallop mixed together, super good

Ishiyaki Kobe Beef
Cooked on hot river stones with sliced onions, shiitake mushrooms, and baby bok choy...this was the best damn kobe beef I've ever had...too bad my 5 year old liked it so much she ate most of it

California roll
Of good quality and taste but I felt like it was missing a color

Soft shell crab roll
I thought I had rolled over and died at first bite. The soft shell crab was perfectly seasoned. I was about to go for another roll but didn't.

Green tea ice cream
Typical texture of play-doh and color of leprechaun green...I could tell that this ice cream was made fresh as I tasted tiny ice chips in it.

Ramune (the waitress told us that it was Japanese Sprite) it had this weird little glass marble in the bottle that you had to tilt a certain way to drink it

The place was very small and maybe holds 30 people. Service was impeccable, friendly, and very attentive. Food was fresh and full of quality. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Finally some useful information coming forth from the eating thread! I shall add this sushi joint to my hit list.

It's a very small place...meaning if you don't get there right around when they open, there will be no place to sit. Everything is served a la carte.
