Lengs & Cooter 2002 The Victor Shiraz/Grenache, Clare Valley ($16)

This is fantastic stuff - wonderful level of extraction without going over the top, good Shiraz characteristics, and drinks much better than its bretherens twice its price. Made from 70% Shiraz, 30% Grenache, it's got great complexity for $16 bottle of wine. 92 points, and a A for QPR. A great candidate for a cellar defender! Tasted blind from a distributor sample at the wine shop - gonna pick up a few bottles when they come in.
