Deep opaque purple in color with a deep intense nose displaying blueberries, eucalyptus, cherries, dark berries and spice. Dense and packed tightly with tremendous rich fruit yet immaculately balanced and smooth, this wine offers layers of intense fruit seasoned with intriguing spices on a seamless frame. A wine of purity and finesse, the tannins are plush and polished, and the finish is long and fine. This extraordinary young wine should only improve over the next 4-6 years. I won’t argue with Wine Spectator’s 96 points.

Tbird, you probably bought some of the Lily's Garden as well...tried it yet? That's the only one I have.

Reviews of all of the 2002 Two Hands current release wines will be in the next Oeno-File. I'd buy the Bad Impersonator rather than the Lily's myself (and I did).

The Bella's is from the Barossa with the characteristic big fruit. Lily's is from McLaren Vale and is usually a more refined and a bit more subdued wine. In a recent tasting, I found that the 02 vintage was so big that I liked the Lily's a bit more. I thought it was more in balance. Others at the same tasting voted the other way. Two good wines.

One nice thing is that they continue to search out good fruit and will be bringing out even more wonderful wines. Twelftree will be here in about 3 weeks - I can't wait to see what he brings to try out.

Does anyone have any information on the Lost Highway wines? From what I understand, these are somehow affiliated with Two Hands.

Copied from another forum:
-----------------
The following is a what Michael Twelftree, Proprietor, Two Hands Wines Pty Ltd has to say about the wine.

"lost Highway is Ronnie Sander’s of Vine Street Imports private label, each year one of Ronnie’s winery makes a small batch and the producer changes each year. Ronnie has input in the selection, maturation and blending of the wines. One of Ronnie other wineries is asked to do the artwork, hence the painting on the 2002 lost Highway was done by Eric Dunham of Dunham Cellars, Walla Walla, Washington.

Ronnie traveled down early last year and we tasted through a heap of barrels and Ronnie chose three that he really liked. The wine is 100% Barossa Shiraz from 3 separate old vine parcels, one was new a new French fine grain, one was new American oak fine grain and one was two-year-old French. Production was 100 cases.

2002 lost Highway Barossa Shiraz

Deep black with a red hue, a bouquet of tight cedar, dense plums, backed by an intense liquorices note, blueberries, tar and dusty currents. The palate is big and generous, sweet and concentrated, with an excellent underlying structure and a fine sweet tannin profile. Unmistakably Barossa but in an elegant and well-delineated framework, Moorish."

Lost Highways is a brand from Ronnie Sanders, a distributor for PA/NJ/..
Each year he has one of his suppliers craft a special with for that label. This year's is a Barossa Shiraz made by Two Hands. It is quite nice.
