Not usually a big fan of Lindemans in general, but for $6 I figured it was worth a shot. Very dark, clear purple, the nose shows good berry notes that are surprisingly short on the palate. Quite tart, with moderate tannins and not a tremendous amount of fruit, quite atypical for an Aussie Shiraz. Finish is slightly drying and short. Even for $6 there are better values available. 82 points, drink now.
I wonder what WS was tasting when they said with a score of 88
“Dark and rich, chewy with deep cherry and sweet spice flavors, which last on the plump, nicely balanced finish.”
