| actually as this wine opens up i would be willing to go 97 points. i am liking this even more than the integrity we had earlier this year but not as much as the grange. i can't wait to taste the 01 dead arm as a comparison. | | | |

| This is the Cabernet, right? I'm getting corn-fused with all these comparisons to Shiraz ... | | | Cheers, y'all | |

| AI... I agree. I decanted this for about 4 hours before trying, and it started to open up 2 or 3 hours later. I also found that as it warmed to room temperature, the heat was more noticeable. 5-10 minutes in the fridge did wonders! | | | |

| I put this into a wide mouth pitcher this morning at 8:30 am. Down in the basement which is 63 degrees. I figure I'll get home about 2:00 pm and pour it back into the bottle and cork it. Then start pouring around 7:30 pm. The guy at the wine store where I got this said to decant for 10 hours! | | | |

| Everyone made fun of me when I said the 2001 MP #9 needed 12 hours. hehe.
Oh look, another Sparky wine that needs lots of time... :-)
I agree about the heat... drink this one on the cooler side. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |
