| Tried this the other night. Decanted and tasted over 1-3 hours. Dark as night color but much more closed and restrained than other vintages. If I had tasted this blind, I would not have said this was a Marquis wine. If you like the typical Marquis full throttle style, this wine is not there (yet?). Maybe this bottle was suffering from some travel sickness so I will reserve judgement and re-taste before scoring. | | |

| This too was at last night's blind Syrah/Shiraz tasting and took 5th place in a field of 19. Don't know how long it had been decanted but it was a solid and full, fruity wine. It did have some zin-like attributes, with quite a bit of pepper and a slight metallic bite that faded a bit on my retaste about a hour after my initial taste. I had thought about bringing this to the tasting and am glad to still have a few bttls. | | | |

| I found this to be an excellent wine at least on par with the 2001. It needs some time to settle down but all the elements are there for a 96+ score from Parker. | | | |

I yank it out of my a$$ at the last minute. I like to stand in front of the cellar and await divine intervention.
Right with you on this one! Hell, I'll even agonize way too long over wines that I have several bottles of. That's part of the fun for me and dismay for my wife!
Lube,
You yank it out of wiml's ass? I aSSume you two know each other pretty well.
DAVID???
David, I am shocked and appalled that you would think such a thing!!! 98.6 degrees is just way too warm for long term storage! | | | |
