2006 Mollydooker Cabernet Sauvignon The Maitre D'
Unscrewed and poured, dark purple in the glass.
Much more forward on the nose than the last bottle I opened.  Distinct aroma of Yoplait blueberry yogurt, blackberry, boysenberry.  Slowly opened over 2+ hours and showed more classic aromas of cassis with hints of cedar.  Full bodied.  On the palate I tasted milk chocolate and berries.  Whoever compared Mollydooker wines to a chocolate shake really isn't far off the mark!  However, this wine did have a nice acidity to it and actually worked quite well with the pizza we ordered.Â
Typical Marquis wine, a style that I really enjoy.

Probably more like a blueberry shake.
