Tasted at a retail tasting. Unappetizingly bretty nose of sweaty horses and new leather. LB said it smelled of ketchup -- spoiled ketchup perhaps. In the mouth, however, it is much better. Expansive black cherry and plum fruit. Good acidity and firm tannins. While still quite drinkable, I ultimately find this a rather bland and uninteresting wine. (84 pts.)
