Nice medium crimson color with moderate bricking. The distinctive nose shows good intensity, clean, but with a rustic edge. Black plums, light oak, and just a wiff of some flower I can't quite put my finger on. On the palate the wine shows nice texture, filling out broadly in mouth, with fine acidity and balance. Finishes with just a slight bitter note that is shy of being unpleasant.

All in all quite an enjoyable wine for $15, though I wouldn't pay full tarrif. 88 points.
