From a 2 day Anniversary Party last month

First up was the 1966 Moet et Chandon Dom Perignon (50%PN, 50%CH). The nose opened up with a big dollop of pear candy along with hazelnuts and toasted bread. It also had some earthy notes of fresh mushroom and shrubbery for complexity. Medium to full, the palate coated my mouth with more secondary flavors of coffee grounds, a touch of buttered popcorn, tons of nuts and again an earthy finish. It is still holding well after 37 years of age, wonderfully complex and definitely elegant without losing any of its pedigree
