Upfront - I’m biased because I truly enjoy white burgundies. I tasted through the 99s and 00s at the Latour Girard cellar in 2001 and have nothing but positive notes from this producer.

The wine is very pale, not the gold color that usually indicates a mature white burgundy. On the nose it is mostly pear and a bit of apple but with some spices. It comes across as more nutty than mineraly but has minerals deep in the structure. This is one of better priced white burgundies with a high quality level.
