2004 William Fèvre Chablis Champs Royaux - France, Burgundy, Chablis (7/30/2006)
WIML89,PURPLE89,NOWA,NOWS

Tasted July 30, 2006 at home. Opened and glass decanted in a Spiegelau Authentis Weiss Wein glass about 30 minutes before tasting, mostly to allow the wine to warm a bit. Straw to light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of orange blossoms, citrus oil, wet stones and apples. Flavors of apples, peaches, minerals and a little lemon zest. Good acidity, good balance. Crisp and clean on the palate. Light to medium bodied Chablis. Shows better at a slightly warmer temperature. Drink over the next 2-3 years. Based on the $16.99 per bottle price we paid at local retail I’d say the value here is recommended. Good QPR wine. (89 pts.)

Thanks for the note on this one. It's on my buy list to satisfy the short term while the bigger gun Chablis age in the cellar.
