Ruby-burgundy, medium minus nose of musk, black cherry, raspberry and saddle leather. Medium body, medium plus intensity, medium plus acidity. Saddle leather, allspice, oak spice and black cherry. Balanced with medium tannin, closed showing mostly structure. 88pts.

i am surprised this wine showed anything. faiveley's wines and especially the cortons normally need 15 years or more to show well. i have had ones that were 10 years old and were still not ready. i have also had ones that were over 15 that were excellent. difficult wines to judge early on.

After more recent experiences with FAiveley I would tend to agree with you.
