13% alc. Not decanted but in hindsight needs it. Once opened up (2+ hrs), pretty, elegant PN nose showing slight rusticity. Light-medium bodied, above average acidity, moderate oak but showing pronounced tannins needing time to mellow out. Not sure fruit would last though. Overall the nose is better than palate and this '00 village-level wine drinks like an '02 Bourgogne or regional wine. Nice QPR considering the $17.99 I paid.

It's a comment more about the vintage than the wine itself. I've had several '02 bourgognes and cotes/hautes-cotes wines lately and the weight of this '00 H-D didn't have the intensity that I expect from a good village wine. It struck me as being a notch lower - correctly made but thiner than it typically should be. At the price I paid, however, I'm happy with it as a weekday wine.
