Immediately upon opening, this wine gave off a foul, stinky cheese odor. On the palate, however, the wine was absolutely incredible. Over the course of the next 30 minutes, the nasty nose blew off and left an outstanding wine showing tropical fruits and slate.

I really enjoyed this bottle as it, even in my beginner learning state, seemed to typify all that is Burgundy.

Very impressive wine, indeed. I slightly preferred the Boillot as it delivered minerals in spades and I love that.

The Boillot showed much more reserved than the last time I had it. I love this wine and to my amazement it has withdrawn into its shell with the potential to come out better than ever! Count me a fan of Ramonet. When the stinky cheese came out it did cross my wine that something went wrong but good old Ramonet showed us all that he is the master as the wine just morphed from Jekyll to Hyde. Incredible transformation and further positive evidence for the enigma that is Burgundy.
