Medium ruby with a medium nose of cardamom, spice, black fruits, smoke, earth, leather dark cherry and a mint leaf edge. Medium bodied, very round, with medium plus intensity, and medium acidity. This is nicely balanced with power and medium wood tannin. This was my favorite of the 3 Trapet’s that night. The 1985 is a better wine, but this was in its zone.
