| Medium garnet with bricking at the rim. Intense nose of sous bois, cardamon, mushrooms, soy, leather and dried cherry. Medium body, medium plus intensity and medium acidity. Sous bois, leather, dried cherry, cardamon, hung game and soy. Balanced with completely resolved tannin, good complexity and a long finish. (began to fade after an hour). 91pts. | | |

| Nice notes Jason - it's good to see a Les Lavieres from NSG hold up so long. BTW is Charles Noellat the estate that eventually becomes Hudelot-Noellat? | | | |

| Charles Noellat was split upon his death in 1939 with some holdings going to Hudelot-Noellat and JJ Confuron. The remaining 12ha with some impressive holding(Musigny, CdV, Chambertin) was purchased by Lalou Bize in 1988.
I was impressed to say the least that a NSG Village had lasted 41 years with so much stuffing. This was served double blind, I got the year correct, but I guessed at least 1er Cru from a really good maker. | | | |
