Medium garnet core with a browning/orange rim. Medium nose of sous bois, tea, sandalwood, faded cherry and shoyu. Light plus bodied, medium intensity and medium acidity. Damp earth, leather, tea, sour cherry and faint raspberry. Medium plus complexity with drying wood tannin. 85pts.

I've only tried a few 1993s. Most have been as you described.
