| Tasted w/ Tbird & mrs., Revlis and Board-O at Triomphe in NYC. Thank you to Frued for setting us up w/ a no corkage reservation. Wine was decanted for 30 mins. in the car ride from Bayonne to the restaurant. Never did that before, eh Rev? Wine Tasted from Riedel Vinum Chard stems.
Color is a pretty yellow and fairly clear. Nose is a little shy initially, but did open up to reveal tropical fruit notes. Medium bodied premier cru w/ lively flavors of pear, flint, minerals. Medium legth finish w/ fine acidity. This is a very nice St. Aubin in need of a little more time in the bottle. jb Rating 89.
I bought a case of this wine for $22 each. Very happy with this purchase.

| A few months have done a lot for this wine. It is just more "everything" right now. The wine has picked up a creme brulee note and the pear and minerals are more present. Length is longer now as well. This is now a 91 pt wine and should hold for quite a while. Glad I still have 8 bottles left.

| Another 6 month checkup on this wine...
Color has darkened ever so slightly from prior tasting in May. Showing nice tropical fruits, some lychees, roasted nuts and mineral-laced moderate finish. Additionally, this one has put on some weight. Drinking very well now. This might be at its peak, but should hold for a few years. Drink now- 2006. jb Rating 91.
This is an excellent St. Aubin and fine value at the $22 I paid. You were more likely to find it for $35 last year.

| I believe that St Aubin may be the best value in Burgundy. I haven't been disappointed yet with any of my purchases from this commune. | | Heater Allen Brewing

| Had the 01 Marc Colin St. Aubin Remilly....great stuff. I had a 1/2 case for around $24, and I would rate it a solid 90 points. Drink now till 2006 | | | |

| Odd how this wine has become more plump and fruit driven with age. Still some minerality but it is more in the background. Solid white fruits, pear, oak spice, crisp apple notes. Richer than I remember. Very good length. This is everything that I could hope for in a $25 White Burgundy.

| That's great jb - I've been going ga-ga over the 2002 Marc Colin St. Aubins. It is really some of the best burgs under $30 I've ever had. | | | |

| Only problem is that I keep drinking them. I started with 8 and now only have 1 left.

| Another check-in with the St. Aubin from Marc Colin "Le Chatiniere"
Great night with Short and Ojeffso! The Colin was showing well. It's not a great wine (never was) but I thought it had good minerality and balance. Just lacking a bit of length. Ojeffso thought the acidity was light, but I thought it was fine. A good start to the night.
I don't think there is any need to hold this wine further. I have one bottle left and will let it rip in the next 6 months.
