An only as I never found any others after the initial bottle (pre-CellarTracker days). This was good - my husband had to leave for an evening meeting and there won't be much when he returns. With roast chicken , a great food match.
- 1999 Rollin Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile des Vergelesses - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru (10/6/2008)
Clear, dark ruby color. Slight cherry aromas with deep cherry and spice flavors. Good balance with the same minerality and acid on the finish. Seemed young but nicely rounded where there were once angles. Chalky minerals with a touch of violets on the long finish. I will be a happy camper if all of my 99s end up this good. (92 pts.)
1999 Rollin Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile des Vergelesses - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru (4/17/2002)
Good nose with cherry and smoke aromas. A complex wine with many layers of flavor in the mid palate. It had good balance with minerality on the long finish. Bought a few of these for mid-term cellaring. ~$50. (90 pts.)
And bugger the first post bug so you can't see this.
