JasonH, do you feel like this is in it's prime drinking window now?

I wouldn't hesitate it is drinking pretty well right now, but it does have years ahead of it.

Thanks for the update. When I had this wine 3 years ago at a 1986 horizontal it was closed for business.

I was fortunate to obtain a couple of bottles in the early 1990's in a barter deal, but have been patiently waiting for the wine to mature. No doubt it has the structure to improve further.

I just ran into a bunch of these at $80 and it was definitely worth that. They have structure left to be sure, but if you have a few I see no harm in trying one now.
