Busy weekend for MLV and I - went to the South Beach Trade Tasting on Friday and the Sunset Corners - Pinot tasting on Saturday -

Some of the standouts of the weekend were:

Trade tasting:

00 Smith-Haut Lafitte
06 Loring Clos Pepe - extremely, extremely good (my wine of the tasting Friday)
04 Roessler Savoy - also fantastic - MLV's wine of the tasting
1999 (not positive on the vintage) - Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile - for the nose not the palate

Summerland had some surprisingly good wines.

Roessler, Loring, Pali and AP Vin were at the Sunset Corners tasting on Saturday-

the 06 Pali Momtazi, the 06 Loring Shea, the 05 Loring Clos Pepe, the 05 Rossler Alder Spring and Savoy; and of the AP Vins - I liked the 06 Kanzler a lot, the 06 Keefer was nice and of the 05s - I thought the Rancho Ontiveros was showing the best Saturday for me -

Always great to see Andrew, Brian et al. - And it was nice to meet Roger Roessler

Sounds great. I have been so swamped with work over the last few months I haven't really had time to think about a weekend down in Miami.

Too bad, need to make some time.
