| Parker Loves these wines. The wine maiker is the guy from Copaine (name eludes me now).
I bought the Laughterbach and Castelli Knight, 94 and 92 Pointers. We will see. | | | |

.
Wells Guthrie is the winemaker. He's got a pretty broad range of experience w/ Rhone varietals, from Turley to Chapoutier to Chave.
Great guy and worth trying some of his syrahs, particularly the one from Washington.
Cheers,

| I had some of their wine in Phoenix a few weeks ago. The wine store guy said the winemaker used to be the chef at The Phoenician's 5 star restaurant. Great stuff. | | | |

| CWG - The ex-chef from Mary Elaine's is the winemaker?? I must have missed something somewhere, because he's cooking in NYC from what I remember. Pax Mahle is behind the wines with (I believe) Wells making it, and IIRC I dont think either had anything to do with Mary Elaine's. | | | |

| Actually Pax Mahle is the winemaker. He uses Wells Guthrie (Copain) as a consultant. I have been following this wine since the innaugural release in 2000, and it only continues to get better each year. During a trip to Napa this fall I met with Pax and barrel tasted the wines, and they are going to be great! I believe there are going to be 10 wines in 2002 and believe it or not each is unique. | | | |

| Welcome to Vinocellar, Anwar.
I had a '01 Pax Alder (not sure which one) over the summer. It was very good. IIRC, 89 pts.

| Thanks for the welcome! Actually a thread about Bressler on erobertparker had a link to the site, so of course I had to see what was going on. | | | |
