Received this email:

Dear Jeffrey,

MacPhail Pinot Noir is getting very excited to announce our upcoming spring release. This February, we will offer two of our four 2005 Pinot Noirs from the Anderson Valley appellation, as well as one BIG surprise we have been holding out sharing with you. We just can't wait any longer...

You will be able to order your allocation between February 15th and March 1st by using our secure online ordering system. Please note: any orders received after March 1st risk partial or total non-fulfillment.

Before all this excitement happens, please take a moment to review and update your billing and shipping information prior to February 8th by CLICKING HERE.

We look forward to sharing with you another great vintage of MacPhail Pinot Noir.

Thank you again for your support.

To Good Friends and Good Wine,

I may be dense but I didn't quite understand what the big surprise is....

While it is a bit unclear, I read it as: "Instead of offering just 2 wines, as we had anticipated, we are going to add a third wine to this mailer because we just can't wait any longer to release it." They do make ist sound as if they are going to reveal the secret in the e-mail. But I think they meant that the secret would be revealed February 15.

You beat me to it. I'm in for whatever amount of PN i'm offered, the Cab depends on the price.

The cab is probably the surprise. We cracked open a 2004 MacPhail Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast to see whether we will order this time around.

Very fruit forward. Great stuff, especially for the price. I am definitely in for what I am allocated...

Sonoma County Cab .

The Big Surprise is that the Pinot is $150 a bottle.

(Just speculation!)
