| Every time I taste Litorrai, I feel like its in barrel. I've probably tasted a dozen bottles, and never had one where the oak didn't poke through. I've got a 1994 Hirsch on the way. If that's oaky, I give up! | | | |

| O wise ones - does anyone have any insight on these Pinots? I'm having trouble deciding and may just decide to pass. My decision may be made due to indecision. TIA. | | | |

| I like Les Larmes for the value, and Savoy and Summa because I love the wines from those vineyards. | | | |

| I've liked Savoy and Thieriot, I have less experience with the Summa.

I haven't tasted the wines but I'm buying lightly this year. I've been on their mailing list from damn near the beginning and Littorai represents the largest single holding of pinot in my cellar, so I'm obviously a big fan. However, Ted's comments in the letter about both the vintage and the wines lead me to believe that these pinots aren't going to rank among their best. Just my two cents.

| I've only had one of their Chards at a restaurant, and while it was excellent, this mailer always comes at the worst possible time....right between August West and Kosta Browne. I buy so heavily from those two that there is nothing left over for Littorai.
Maybe next year.

| fwiw, if anyone is interested, i am willing offer a bottle each of the 2005 mays canyon chardonnay, the sonoma coast pinot, the mays canyon pinot, and the roman. i only really wanted two bottles, but there is a three bottle minimum. | | | |

| With a winemaker like Ted Lemon. Passing on an offering like a vintage of 2005 would be crazy. I'm definitely buying some Les Larmes, Savoy, Roman, and Heintz Chard. | | | |

| Not if you buy 2005 burgs instead. | | | |

| You know, the Savoy hitting $80 has made me pause before buying. That's not a comment against the quality of the wines - I've purchased Littorai wines in prior vintages and have enjoyed them. But I look around at other opportunities to buy wine at $80 and I can do quite well spending that money on 2005 red burgundy. And that's what I'm doing, so no Littorai for me this year. | | | |

| Wineaux has a good point about the $$. Regretfully I'm passing due to an oversupply of domestic Pinot in the cellar. | | | |
