| Hi ... I posted earlier on this topic and was asked by several people to provide details. I have 12-15 cases of mostly 90's Cabs and Williams Selyem Single Vineyard Pinots. I am most interested in selling some of the higher end bottles .. e.g. 93,94, and 96 Bryant Family Cabs, 89, 90 Lynch Bages and Angelus Bordeaux. I have a spreadsheet with the bottles I will sell and my best edit of winesearcher prices, but can't seem to attach that via this site. I understand that I will not likely get these prices, but I am also not in fire sale mode. I'm not particularly interested in getting into the shipping/ out of state credit business, so my first run will be to sell to people locally who can pick up the wine (I am in Palo Alto). Wine has been Vinotechque stored since purchase. Send me an email to: hudsonduster@yahoo.com if you would like the spreadsheet. | | |

| Just a thought... This gentleman (assuming he is a doctor whose office is near freeway 101 in Palo Alto) is withing four or five miles from where the big robbery was last week (in Atherton). Just a passing thought doc101, Before anyone would send you our email address we would like some references. What wine stores do you do business with in the area? Anyone of them willing to give references? Do you know Kevin at Draegers? John at Robert's? Bruce at Lavonda? Do you restore old cars? | | | |

| Boy this is a tough crowd. I know nothing of the Atherton robbery except that the alarm system was particularly tricky.
Bought most of my wines from Victor at Vin Vino (eg the Bryants) and George Thaler when he was at Roberts when they actually had a cellar. I'm not allowed in Dragers or Lavonda ...
Just a thought...

| doc101,
You are correct; this is a tough crowd. But I hope you know that we are just joking with you. It appears with your retorts that you understand that.
How about, just for fun, you pique our interest and list some of the highlights of what you have for sale with their asking price.

| Here's the best I can do ... cut & pasting from Excel ain't great here. In order, I've listed the wines, the # of bottles I have of each, a median price from winesearcher and the winesearcher price range (after eliminating flaky #'s). Again ... I assume that retail stores would give me half these prices, and auction houses/winebids/etc would take what 25-30%? I've never sold wine, so I just don't know. Appreciate any advice.
What I expect from this site would be a few people to buy some bottles that they can't easily get elsewhere. My personal tradeoff is that I would rather own a case of very good wine than a bottle of great/expensive wine ... e.g. I would trade a Bryant Cab for a comparable-priced case of something else ... hope this helps ...

| I too think WineBid.com would be the way to go.
PM me if you want the name and phone number of my WineBid rep. With a lot like this I'm sure he would pick them up from you at no charge. Only problem is that you are looking at at least a month before you get the first check.
The Asia market snaps up stuff like yours pretty quick.
