Winetex's post in the Sine Qua Non thread about it being too hot to ship wine reminded me to post this. Anyone else hear about FedEx's newTEMP-ASSURE® service?

It should be notes that FedEx will not knowingly ship wine from individuals, the sender must be a licensed retailer.

Wow!!

There is a wino couple here that stores all of their CA allocations in CA. Then they rent a van and go out and pick it all up. Their reasoning is that they have a nice drive, get to go to Napa and actually save some money. I'm angling for some space in their van for a couple of cases.

From looking at the link it looks like this is for large shipments of drugs and such which need to be cooled. I don't think they are interested in doing this on a case of wine.
