David,

Do you know anything about where the wine came from?

I would take a serious look at the Moutons. OK prices if the provenance is good.

The Dehlinger prices are also OK.

All of the 1st growths caught my eye. For me, those are good prices.

I would buy the '99 Rubicon at the price you listed. It is a fantastic wine.

Cheers,
Otis

The wine is from a restaurant that has a WS award (for all that means but he does have good storage and a good list). I have purchased hundreds of bottles in the past and never been disappointed.

Here is what I bought (I hope):

------------------
1 bottle of '93 Bryant Family, Cabernet @$325.00 ea (Parker 97)

3 bottles of '99 Guigal, Cote-Rotie Chateau d'Ampuis @$90.00 ea (Parker 95-97)

One each of these:
'86 Mouton-Rothschild @$290.00 ea (Parker 100)
'89 Margaux @$190.00 ea (WS 99)
'89 Mouton-Rothschild @$178.50 ea (WS 99)
'90 Mouton-Rothschild @$185.00 ea (WS 97)
------------------

I already have the Rubicon and Dehlingers.

Someone tell me about the Guigal.

beware, the 89 and 90 moutons were 89/90 point wines in parker's and many others eyes. the 89 margaux was scored 90 points by parker. i have had both the 89 margaux and mouton and parker was probably right.
