| The 92 Lake Magnum looks interesting. The prices on the 2001s are less than the msrp on the 2000 wines. | | | |

| The only Lake Vineyard I've had is the 1984 and it's the best American wine I've ever had. I've had it twice and have one bottle remaining. It could be worth a splurge. | | | |

| I wouldnt buy them. I see DC's often at auction and they are almost always much cheaper... | | | |

| The most interesting thing about this mailer is the parking pass for the open house - we're going, anyone else? What dates? | | | 2008: the end of an error | |

| The party. YES! We have done it before and it is a great day.
We need to pick one of the dates and all do an offline potluck with both food and wine. Spread those blankets out on the lawn next to the lake, eat, drink, and take a nap. Bring the kids if you got 'em. Bring your bathing suit.
The dates are Sunday 7/13 Saturday 7/19 Sunday 7/27 Saturday 8/2
You have to have a pass to get in. What I'm not sure of is how many people you can bring with you in one car. I think you can bring as many as you can fit so if we have some who don't have the pass we could do a carpool thing from somewhere. What do you think Brent?

| TBird,
They only take cash or checks. You send in your deposit and they bill you later for the balance just before shipping.

Thanks, guys: now I feel considerably better about nabbing a 1995 horizontal for $390 including auction premium. The Volcanic Hill came across at only $80.

| The party is probably the greatest Napa event any winery puts on. I guess its cost in reflected in the bottle pricing, which as noted earlier, is almost always available for far less on winebid and elsewhere. I'd pass. | | | |

| Do you people out of state get parking passes for the picnic? If you do think about posting them here for some of the group that aren't on the list.
I still wish we could have an off-line picnic at Diamond Creek. The dates for this year are:
7/17/04 (Saturday) 7/25/04 (Sunday) 7/31/04 (Saturday) 8/8/04 (Sunday)
The have areas with picnic tables and bbq pits. You can also bring in any wine that you want to. It is indeed one of the lovliest parks in California and these four days are the only time it is open to list members. You need a parking pass to get your vehicle in but you can pack as many people in/on your vehicle as you can fit.

| If I still get a mailer and parking pass, I'll make it available. I've never purchased from them because of pricing and I'm not sure how long they'll keep me on the list given that. You can always call the winery (I think "Boots" was the person I spoke to several years back) and say you'll be in the area or have friends visiting who are DC fans and would like to visit, and I'm willing to bet they'll put you on the list and send a pass. That's how I first got on their list and attended. | | | |
