| I received a few emails from Chris and an email from George (another ahead of me as well). I think that Chris is just trying to do his level best to help out George, which is admirable. George was not aware of the initial post and would have handled things differently so I wouldn't blame him if you find the process disconcerting. | | | |

| Until I read this, I didn't even realize that GMT was not a regular here. I guess I was just so familiar with him from the WS board. In any event, he did join a while back, but his stay was brief. Here is a link to his first post, and to the warm welcome he received. GMT is one of the good ones, imho. Hope for nothing but the best for him. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

Hope GMT is okay. I used to really enjoy reading his posts on the old WS board. Tried quite few wines based upon his recommendations.

| Uhh, you guys in the habit of posting the contents of PRIVATE E-mails to everybody? Without an explanation? Please keep this important fact in mind: someone asked for a shot at some wines, and I responded. I didn't have the time to get into a lengthy explanation of how things are, so I asked people to contact me if you were interested. That's it. This type of thing just about confirmis my thoughts. Chris. | | | |

| from the outside, this entire thing looks weird.
I wish GMT the best. I've never met him, but great enjoyed his contributions on WS in the past and have no doubt as to his integrity. I have no idea who Chris is, and (again, as an outsider) it strike me as odd he would choose the same moniker as GMT, giving the impression of posing.
I have no idea if this is legit or not, and I'm not drawing any conclusions one way or the other, but considering we are talking about the exchange of a fairly large amount of money based entirely on faith, I don't see a lot of credibility here, which is why I've avoided this thread to this point.
Chris, if you really are legit, you've inadvertently done GMT a disservice imo. | | | 2008: the end of an error

| Hello, and thank you for your kind wishes, everyone. Yes, this is GMT, and yes, Chris will not be posting anymore. He meant well, but it does perturb me greatly that so many of you were inconvenienced by all this. However, what he did relate to you is factual in its entirety. I am rather indisposed physically, and I have been for some time, though I have good periods and some not so good. Chris is an acquaintance from a long time ago, when I first started in academics. He dropped by to see me, and was moved to do something about what he saw as my plight. For this, I offer my deepset apologies and I hope that all of you can extend me indulgence in this matter. It would be amiss of me to not offer a further apology for Chris' retort to Randy; whatever the case may be, I think that individuals must account for what they say, and Chris does not understand that these Forums are almost familial in nature. Anyhow, I will honor all agreements made to the fullest extent of what I can.
I thank you all, again. Your thoughts do mean a lot to me, and I hope that I can one day return the graciousness. Gratefully. GMT (stillalive)inJapan.

| I have an XL Poker Face T Shirt that I'd love to trade for a Medium or Large. My shirt is New never worn. I was given the shirt and can't sell it. Thanks Jeremy
