| Heck with a poll. Here's what I am wondering:
Who on the board got their first SE offering with the 2003 (like me)
Are you buying it?
Are you buying it to drink or flip?
I don't know what to do with this one since I never thought it would come.

| I haven't checked the current auctions, but my guess is that you would have to sell two to get one free, although you probably would have some $$$ left over for something else. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| Easy buy, probably an easy flip as well.
(Full disclosure - I have not gotten an offer, and probably won't)

| I doubt that this vintage has the "flippability" of previous ones. Owner and wine maker turnover plus RP ratings, plus adding guys like me to the list! | | | |

| I'm not on the list. That being said, even if I was, I would *not* purchsae this. $500/bottle is a HECK of a lot.. more than I spend on a bottle of wine except for the rarest of occasions. I expect flippers for this to be out in full force.
Just my $0.02. YMMV | | | |

| The more I think about this, the more I am convinced that the price hike has, or will, kill the cache of this wine. In the past, people on the list could flip one and keep two for free. With the price hike people will now have to sell two to break even. As a result, the secondary market will see twice as many bottles on the open market. This isn't completely accurate, as I am sure that there have always been people who sold all of their botttles, and that will probably remain constant. But I think it is a sure thing that there will be more opportunities in the market to acquire this. More supply means lower price. Lower price means no compelling reason to get on the list, as the delta between list price and secondary market price used to be a solid four-figure sum. Now it will likely be a couple hundred bucks. Without a scrum to get on the list, the perceived value of the brand will suffer. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| There is no way I'm buying 3 to keep 3. Still on the fence here. | | | |

| Me to! WTF, I can't be on a waitlist for 8 years then not buy when I get offered some. I do wonder why I am the only one on the boards that got this for the first time. Here''s what I really wonder. About 8 years ago when I got really into this hobby, I signed up for all the cult lists. Abreu, Dalla Valley, Colgin, SE, Harlan, Bryant, etc. I sent them all fax's, but never called to confirm. A few years later, I checked in with Turley (they were a cult to me back then) and they claimed to never get my fax. About 2 years ago I checked in with Colgin and they never got my request either. About a year ago, I re-fax'ed SE asking them to confirm that I was still on their waiting list. Never heard from the. So was I really on the SE wait list for 8 years or 1 year. ??? I can't believe I just spent $1,500 on 3 bottles of wine. | | | |

| Actually I'm about to go buy some 01 Yquem at $229/375 ml, roughly the same price neighborhood. | | | |

| Anyone have the fax number? Might as well put my name in for the long haul especially if a lot of list members don't purchase with the price hike. I'm young, I can wait and maybe by the time I get on I will be able to afford it. | | | |
