This falls into the "if it seems too good to be true it probably is". I wouldn't expect much if anything from it.

The 98 Taittinger mag's been bumped up to $225...

I just realized I am almost out of NV bubblies! Need to go on a champagne expedition trip ASAP...

I'm pretty sure that was the original price on those magnums before the "1 day sale" thing happened.

I'm doing my best here to hold off on buying any more Champagne until after the first of the year. Right now most Champagne prices are at their zenith for the year. Come January with the holidays past us and the economy in the toilet I'll be burning the enamel off my credit card with Champagne sales.
Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone.

For the first time in the history of the Internet, I agree with Jaimetown, or at least the original, unvarnished Jaimetown.   The conciliatory, mishy-mashy Jaimetown that followed, not so much.  It was a mistake and Premier Cru has no obligation to honor it or to offer anything to the suspecting buyers.  It is lame for them to make such a big deal about it.  I didn't get the email, but I bought 2 of the mags thanks to a WIML post on another board.

Yes, but I will not allow the non-winos to decimate my vintage bubbly over the holidays. Gotta have some standards you know? In fact I'm going to re-arrange the cellar a bit.

Note that I am mostly kidding...

Dave you crack me up.

Winetex, I like your new profile pic - is that what your gravestone will look like when you are buried? Will you be buried holding an empty 3L of bubbly, much like the warriors of times long past have with their swords?
