Any thoughts on these wines or these prices? TIA....

2004 Novy Family Wines 'Christensen Family Vineyard' Syrah, Russian River Valley
$25.99
This just released wine, from 40-60 year old Syrah vines in the heart of the Russian River Valley, is one of the bigger wines in the portfolio. Deep, dark and dense, it's clearly more Northern Rhone-ish than Australian in style with meaty aromas followed by dense blackberry and anise hints. Well balanced, showing 'only' 14.5% alcohol, the tannin structure supports the wine well; this is clearly a wine for the cellar!

2003 Novy Family Wines Syrah
Napa, North Coast, California, USA
Review by Robert Parker
Wine Advocate #159 (Jun 2005)
Rating: 90 points
Drink 2005-2010
$19.99

The dense ruby/purple-colored 2003 Syrah exhibits scents of jammy black currants, berries, smoke, and underbrush. Drink this rich, medium to full-bodied, savory, beautifully textured 2003 over the next 4-5 years.
