| I missed this last year because they wouldn't ship to VA or DC (or at least never responded to my queries). I'll probably just send it in and hope for the best. No mailer yet. | | | |

I emailed Hug today for shipping to VA, and they quickly responded. Although, they don't ship to VA, you can use a service like Buffalo Shipping Co., for example, to have them shipped to VA. I called them, and shipping 6 bottles costs ~$26.

That's funny that you should say that. I emailed Hug to see whether they might ship to DC instead, but haven't heard back. I'll probably just skip it (too many mailers).

| Topping the list at "The best thing that happened to me yesterday" was coming home to find a mailer in the box.
At $45 per, this is a tough one to pass-up. Not sure it's on par w/ KL QPR, but very close.
Only question I have is "Are they going to be consistently good wines, even in off years?"

| The wording on the mailer made it seem like they had a tough 03. Hot this cluster that and something about budding. Little hints to what the quality of 03 might be like, or not like??
$45 is where you wish all your Cab's cost. 02 was like 3rd lable Pride. Just a step below 02 Pride, so guess the quality is in there. They are using real young vines and it shows. So maybe every year the quality will notch up just because of vine age? I'm not a Horda..whatever know enough about how vine age can effect a wine. But where do you ever see Drinkward out in the open market? Zippy, Bressler in the same boat. At least for now...

| Agreed about the wording on the mailer. I'm curious to taste these when they arrive.
You're absolutely right about finding it at retail. Although, I did find some '02 several months ago after calling a distributor and working through a list of wine shops that received the wine. Price was around $55 plus shipping, iirc.

| I'll go for at least 3 of these, possibly 6, although storage is becoming a serious problem. I may have to consider building my own off=site storage facility... | | In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is...

| Who will take the first plunge and let us know how it is? We'll give you a few days to let the wine settle after shipping | | | |

I probably will.
That being said, I most likely won't get my wine until well after most folks.
