Slight thread drift. Did you ever open a thread where you are ignoring a user, where all of the posts are from that user? It's weird.

Its a very very good price. Lowest I can find on wine-searcher is >$500. Release price was $330... so someone is losing money on this. Why?

If the auction doesn't find a good home, by default I am the buyer.

I have to admit I have always wanted to try Petrus & the price on this was very tempting, but I now have an ongoing paranoia that any "good deal" on a wine w/ any age on it is probably coming via Hurricane Katrina and I won't run that risk. How long will this be an issue in the wine secondary market?? I am casting absolutely no aspersions at Whino , I am sure this wine is pristine. I just do not know if I will be able to pull the trigger on wines that I am not positive of provenance any more. This is mainly wines w/ the $$ of Petrus , La Tache.
My Daddy said if something seems like to good a deal, it probably is.
