I looked at this offering and am wondering why it is the "lessor" stuff that is more limited that the designates.

I have always like the Carrie's but do I really need this stuff. Any think this is a "must buy"? Please say "No".

David,

I haven't ordered the Carries since 2001 (And I'm very happy I still have 4 bottles of that wine left!), but I'm leaning toward 6 bottles each of the terrace & Carries based on what looks like an excellent 2004 vintage for pinot noir in that area.

There are definitely other people on this board who know much more about the quality of the 2004 pinot's than I do, so maybe they can chime in here. But, based on the Brewer-Clifton comments in their newsletter, I suspect the 2004 is a good year to buy.

Of course it's always worth noting the old Parker saying that the best vintage is the vintage that is currently for sale!

Either way, I've had these wines before (in other vintages) and I am pretty confident that I will enjoy them even if they're not far superior to past vintages.

Cheers,
-J
