Tasting Notes on Parker Board

I have the 02 & the 03 & I really loved both releases. Though both are very, very young. It's probably my fav Australian wine up to date (Grange, of course, is excluded in that statement).

I don’t think it has been rated as of yet by any one. Price is about the same as the 02 & the 03 @ about $75.00/per.

Any VC folks try it?!?

P.S.: On a related note, what was the 1st vintage of this wine???

I'm tempted to try this one as I'm loving Aussies as of late. However a case order is a bit much for me right now.

At WL, it's a pre-sale. You have to buy in multiples of 6 bottles.

As I mentioned to the Doc. I live 10 mins away from WL. I am also interested in 3-4 bottles. So, I can go in on a 6 pack or a case. I can pay for it & store it/ship it as desired or whatever... (we may have to act fast though). The 02s went pretty fast. I was able to grab the last 3 bottles.

FWIW, James Halliday reviewed the wines a bit ago and said that it was better than the 2003 Amon Ra and gave it 96+ points.

I called WL and asked if this was McLarenvale or Barossa Vly. I was told that this had neither notation. Anyone have a clue on this? The ebob link above sheds no light either with a similar question posed and presently unanswered.

I think it is all Barossa after the 02 vintage. Also be on the look for the 04 Godolphin a cab/shiraz blend that is supposed to be excellent as well.... just bought 6 each from downunder

I am also thinking about buying the 04 Mitolo GAM Shiraz & the 11th Hour Shiraz (both about $43.00, that's not bad @ all). These 2 have to be purchased by the case. I will take 4 of each. Who else will go in it on a case with me?

LCC, Does WL have the 04 Godolphin Cab/Shiraz (also from Glaetzer) I picked some up because of some good buzz from some friends in Australia but have not tasted. It might be worth a test run if they will sell by the bottle. It should probably be about $40.

Update: the wine is here as I was contacted by WL. I sent PMs to appropriate folks. Check your PMs guyz.

WL cannot break up full cases & ship to various people. I will have to ship to you &/or store for you. No problem, I will pack the wines. I can also store in my cellar. Just let me know what you want me to do as far as your wines go.
